Ebb and Flow

Ebb and flow are sculptural vessels where the shape and form is referenced from sand-pools left by a receding tide.  The outer textured surfaces of the vessels are reminiscent of the white water left behind by a breaking wave.  The use of black is a reference to the coast rocks and cliffs. Inside the smooth linear markings elicit a sense of movement which are representative of the patterns left in the sand.
